Steal From Squishy Dumpling Speed Priority

Speed versus roster size is the central build tension in this stealth tycoon. More Squishies raise offline income; higher speed raises steals per hour. This page gives concrete thresholds for when to switch priorities.

The Chase Failure Threshold

Track your last ten steal attempts. If three or more end in caught chases, buy speed before stealing again. Failed steals waste the sleep-window timing described in the controls guide and teach bad route habits.

The escape chase guide covers movement technique, but technique cannot replace insufficient speed stats on Floor 2 and 3 routes.

The Roster Income Threshold

If fewer than six Squishies earn passively, prioritize stealing over speed unless chase failure exceeds thirty percent. Six simultaneous earners create meaningful offline returns over a two-hour break — see the offline guide.

Between six and fifteen Squishies, alternate one speed upgrade per four new Squishies stolen. Above fifteen, speed takes priority for tier chasing unless an event boosts active play.

Simple Income Math

Offline earnings scale linearly with roster count. Active earnings scale with speed multiplied by successful steals per hour. A player with twelve Squishies earning offline often beats a player with six Squishies and maximum speed after a four-hour break — but the speed-heavy player wins during a one-hour active session.

Use our offline calculator to model your personal session length and decide the split.

Speed Priority During Events

Aura x2 money and global x4 like events temporarily favor active stealing. Shift toward speed if you plan to play continuously for thirty or more minutes during the event window. When the event ends, revert to roster-first before logging off.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is more important — speed or Squishy count?

Early game favors count; mid game alternates; late game favors speed for rare tiers.

How much speed do I need for Secret Squishies?

Enough to escape Floor 2–3 chases reliably — typically mid-to-high speed tiers.

Does mobile need more speed investment?

Mobile controls are less precise; slightly higher speed compensates for touch input.

Should I save cash for one big speed upgrade?

Buy upgrades incrementally. Large hoards earn nothing while sitting unused.
